If you’re up for a drive, head over to Pinetop-Lakeside and visit the White Mountain Nature Center and later enjoy fine dining at Salt Restaurant & Wine Bar or a more casual dinner at Charlie Clark’s Steakhouse. Many of the small communities surrounding Greer have activities and attractions—you’ll simply run out of time and enjoy every moment of doing so. Sipe White Mountain Wildlife Area, Petrified Forest, White Mountain Dinosaur Exploration Region, and X-Diamond Ranch provide you and the kiddos plenty of options for recreation. If you’re into fishing, Greer is perched on both sides of the Little Colorado River and Acorn Lodge is just across the main road from the three Greer lakes, all renowned for trophy trout. Uniquely secluded, anglers have pinned favorite spots on both the east and west fork of the Little Colorado River.
